About TCWD
Founded in 2006 as the Tennessee Rural Partnership, we began with a mission to recruit primary care physicians to rural and underserved communities. In 2012, we became a division of the Tennessee Hospital Association, expanding our reach and impact across the state. By 2018, our programs had grown to support not only physicians, but also behavioral health, dental, and other primary care professionals. To reflect this broader mission, we became the Tennessee Center for Health Workforce Development (TCWD).
